The County Roscommon Society of New York, Inc. brings together people with Roscommon heritage. The Society was organized July 16, 1931 and led by its first President Andrew Trimble. Today, our organization is strong and active as we continue to promote and foster our Irish culture and traditions in the New York and surrounding areas. Our organization also provides our members with an opportunity to keep in touch with old friends as well as keeping current on events in County Roscommon.

Dear Friends, On behalf of The County Roscommon Society of New York, we are delighted to invite you to our 92nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration Dinner Dance to be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 at the The Fairways at Dunwoodie Golf Club, located at 1 Wasylenko Lane, Yonkers, NY 10701. Due to Covid, we were forced to suspend the annual event for a number of years, but we are back and hoping for a strong showing. As you know, the dinner dance is our main social event of the year. It is always our goal to engage and encourage the involvement of our younger members and potential members to participate and eventually carry on these longstanding traditions. So, bring the sons and daughters. This year we are excited to announce the participation and performance by the Castlerea Brass and Reed Band. While we don’t see them every year, their presence always adds a real feeling of home to the festivities. This, along with three fantastic honorees, Robert McGinty, Edward Fanning and Sean Mannion, whose biographies are attached*, promises to make this year's event a terrific night out. We encourage you not to miss it. Each year we produce a Souvenir Journal in conjunction with the dinner. This is the Society’s main source of fundraising for the year, and the success of this great commemorative memento is what enables the Society to function and thrive throughout the year. Your generous contribution to, and support of, the same is very much appreciated. In closing, please make every effort to attend what is going to be a fantastic evening of fun, food, song and dancing. Not only do we need your support, we look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones. As usual, members will be afforded the opportunity to pay their annual dues but more importantly, new members will be able to join. As mentioned earlier, young folks are necessary to carry on this great organization. So come out and “dance the buckles off your shoes” in support of The County Roscommon Society of New York!!!
